Beaujolais Day 2025: A Record-Breaking Celebration of Community, Kindness and in the Memory of Gary Minshull

This year’s Beaujolais Day event was nothing short of extraordinary. On Thursday 20th November, nearly 170 guests from across the freight forwarding industry came together for a day and night filled with laughter, networking, and heartfelt generosity. It was an occasion that blended fun with purpose for the Children in Need charity and celebrating the memory of our much-loved colleague and friend, Gary Minshull.

It's been a record breaking year. Together we achieved something remarkable through your incredible kindness, from the raffle and auction bids to games and direct donations, we are delighted to share that we raised:

£0

This is our highest total yet. In previous years, we’ve proudly raised between £3,000 and £4,500, but this year saw our community double down in support, generosity, and spirit. It was truly a resounding success.

From the moment our guests arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Over a delicious lunch and evening meal, attendees enjoyed the chance to reconnect, catch up, and share stories. Conversations flowed effortlessly with business discussions, family moments, treasured memories, and everything in between.

As the day turned into evening, the energy only grew stronger. Our DJ kept the room moving, karaoke made its triumphant return (with some unforgettable performances!), and the games and auction brought laughter and friendly rivalry.

Whether you were bidding, cheering, singing, or simply ‘soaking’ up the atmosphere, you helped make the event special.

At the heart of the day was something deeper than celebration. This Beaujolais Day became a moment for us to pause and reflect on our memories of Gary Minshull.

To everyone who attended, thank you. Your presence, your generosity, and your enthusiasm helped create one of our most successful charity events to date, and to the team who volunteered, organised, hosted, and supported the event every step of the way, especially Sharon Dowling, Davys at Plantation Place, and ACC, thank you for making this possible.

Events like these remind us why the freight forwarding community is so special, supportive, resilient, and always willing to step up for a good cause.

We’re proud of what we have achieved together this year, and we’re already looking forward to seeing you next year with excitement and gratitude.

Until then, thank you again for helping us make a difference. Your generosity truly matters, and it will have a lasting impact through the support that the Children in Need provides.
